  • The best part of this app is the map function. I've always had to fall back on Siri when I'm looking for a place 'nearby.' Being able to match up my location against easily identifiable destinations nearby is far superior to Siri, google, or any other search function I've tried. Furthermore, the destinations (especially the bars and restaurants) have been curated extremely well, identifying places that I've been to and had fun as well as many more I've been excited to try. Will be an even richer experience as user reviews start to roll in. A+

  • This is a wonderful app! I kind of hate going to NYC, all the people and the traffic ugh. However, browsing through this app made me really, really crave a visit to Brooklyn to visit my sister and all the wonderful stores, restaurants, and historical sites to see!

  • This guide is chockablock full of places I hadn't heard of ((like the Akwaaba Mansion B&B in Bedstuy, which is beeeeautiful)) and places I had been meaning to visit for a while (Arancini Bros--I will come for your balls). The destinations have photos and are mapped out for you. Super easy to use--highly recommended!

★ How Sweet It Is! ★

Brooklyn is the most populous borough in all of New York City, which means there's no dearth of food, culture, bars, parks, and restaurants. The question is how to navigate it all. Whether you want to try the city's best Trinidadian (or Mexican, or Russian) food, do some serious flea market shopping, hit up the beach, or grab a drink at the nearest neighborhood bar, this guide will lead the way. In recent years Brooklyn has become as big a destination as Manhattan... come and find out why.

★ About the Authors ★

Emily Nonko is the staff writer at Brownstoner.com, a Brooklyn-based website specializing in real estate, architecture, and restaurants strictly in the borough. She has lived in four different Brooklyn neighborhoods over five years, has biked down just about every street, tries to eat at as many restaurants in the borough as possible, and has attended more community board meetings than any human should. Alex Roche attended school in New York City and worked at the NYC Transit Museum in Downtown Brooklyn. He is currently travelling in Australia.
